Baden-Württemberg meets Cannes. In 2016, Baden-Württemberg’s creative industry is again sending a delegation to France to take part in the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, the well-known advertising and PR festival. Ten representatives from the areas of advertising, live communication, visual effects/animation and film production, will be travelling to the south of France from 19th to 26th of June to find out about the latest trends and make new international contacts at this important get-together for creative specialists. Baden-Württemberg is the only federal state in Germany that is sending its own delegation to Cannes.
This year, a Baden-Württemberg delegation will be attending the festival for the fifth time. In 2011, a first group of six creatives from Stuttgart participated, 2014 there were ten from all over the federal state. Baden-Württemberg International (bw-i) organises the delegation’s trip to Cannes in collaboration with MFG Medien- und Filmgesellschaft Baden-Württemberg, the Film Commission Region Stuttgart and the Netzwerk Kreativwirtschaft Baden-Württemberg, as part of bw-i’s stated mission, namely to internationalise Baden-Württemberg’s industry.
