Baden-Württemberg meets Cannes. In 2019, Baden-Württemberg’s creative industry will again send a delegation to France to take part in the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, the well-known advertising and PR festival. Ten representatives from the areas of advertising, communication, sound design and film production travel to the south of France from 16th to 22nd of June to identify the latest trends and make new international contacts at this important get-together for creative specialists. Baden-Württemberg is the only federal state in Germany that is sending its own delegation to Cannes.
In 2011, a first group of six creatives from Stuttgart participated, 2018 there were twelve from all over the federal state. Baden-Württemberg International (bw-i) organises the delegation’s trip to Cannes in collaboration with MFG Medien- und Filmgesellschaft Baden-Württemberg, the Film Commission Region Stuttgart, Wirtschaftsförderung Region Stuttgart and Netzwerk Kreativwirtschaft Baden-Württemberg, as part of bw-i’s stated mission, namely to internationalise Baden-Württemberg’s industry.
